About this advert
20 October, 2009
This ad seems to be trying to build trust between the consumer and the brand while promoting the quality of the long-standing brand; Kelloggs. Kelloggs have presented a new but some how familiar character to the brand, by bringing to life, Mr W.K. Kelloggs. They have almost tried to connect a children's story to the advert, they have presented the 'old tale' of Mr W.K. Kelloggs and his product in a manner similar to how a grandparent might tell their grandchild a story. The advert depicts a very idyllic, natural, traditional setting where 'Mr W.K. Kelloggs' lives and produces Kelloggs cereal. These natural, innocent, traditional images are ultimately what Kelloggs are trying to apply to the brand. All brands seem to want to secure there established position at the moment due to the economic climate and this is an imaginative solution to reinforce Kelloggs traditional brand values.
