Bukky's view
Haribo's target market is comprised of people between the ages of 4 and 94. The launch of this New Super Mix as well as having a Kiddies Super Mix that has been on the market for a number of years implies that they want to appeal to more than just the younger part of their target market. This ad however does not make this clear. Its sing along karaoke style will only appeal to younger children if anyone at all. The song has no rhyme and is sung by amateurs making it very very annoying. The set looks cheap and the word squidgy seems kind of inappropriate. The actors seem awkward and the singing and dancing just makes the audience cringe when watching it. This ad could almost be seen as disappointing to consumers who already buy Haribo especially with the success of previous adverts such as the interrogation one for Haribo Starmix or the wedding one for tangfastics. Overall this is one of the most disliked ads of the year with very little if any positive feedback on it.

Hmmm, mixed reviews and discussion on this one. Could it be that Haribo know exactly what they are doing? A stupid song, a faked reality, nods to nostalgia ... what do the other groups think?
