Foxybingo.com is the current sponsor of the Jeremy Kyle show. As the show is aired during the day this tells us that the target audience for Foxy Bingo is housewives, most likely middle aged. This television advert conveys the message that bingo is for every woman, not just the typical aging working class female who is normally associated with the game. The song 'we are family' plays throughout expressing the feeling of unity and excitement of following the crowd. The advert promotes the idea that you will become part of a community by playing the game. Whereas in reality, joining in with a group of people all sitting at different computers isn't exactly sociable. The idea of showing all of these women celebrating at the end of the advert with a party shows that there is something to be excited about with Foxy Bingo. This enforces the idea that the bored housewives will be able to feel animated and energetic about their lives if they play. Persuasion is used to draw its audience in, the use of 'L10 free' helps to reduce the risk involved which subsequently makes the advert more likely to result in action and less likely to end in fail. Foxy is directly talking to the audience, getting them to join in the fun, 'come on, join the party'. This shows that the institution wants a response from the audience, and they are not just using advertising to make the audience aware of Foxybingo.com. The advert succeeds in what it is trying to achieve. It stands out by using bright feminine colours (pink) and a well known song. The community feel the advert creates is almost the missing piece to these women's lives and so is making them feel worth while.
