This advert was made to shock people into sense. The image of a man who looks to have a belt tied round his chest will either make people look away in disgust or will make them not stop staring because of the strong picture. Its not a picture that you usually see on the sides of buses or on billboards, however the campaign worked so well as it was memorable because of the shocking picture. The simple "A CHEST PAIN IS YOUR BODY SAYING CALL 999" is so simple, yet so effective as it is straight to the point - no facts and figures are needed for it to be believable and for people to trust what it is saying as the simple British Heart Foundation logo emphasises on the necessity. Overall this campaign is very effective; although not a lot is going on in advert, the simple picture, and simple tag line stand out and give the shock factor the consumers that is needed to make an effect.
