This advert came out towards the end of last year, and whilst there's nothing wrong with the advert, my initial reaction was 'Why are potatoes being advertised?!' We rarely see neccessities in life being advertised, it is normally those things which we desire but probably don't need that are thrust upon us. Clearly stereoptypical thinking went into the advert, using the face of Bree from Desperate Housewives, whose character is that of the Stepford Wife to sell a brand of potatoe that is so much better then the standard Maris Piper.
